PATRIOTS ICE CENTER
After a shift in ownership we got to rebrand hockey arena and the teams within it. It was a cool project where we got to be on the front lines of things like rink graphics on top of overall brand design and strategy. But it was also a personal as it was the rink that our founder Nick, “grew up” in.
ARENA LOGO DESIGN
We started off making it feel strong. A brand that holds up to time and connects with a military vibe. Just because it is an arena didn’t mean that we gave it any slack in how much work we produced. Secondary logos, tertiary logos, type lockups, the works!
We knew where this brand was going to be like any ice arena, but this ownership really wanted to push the envelope on creating something more. A brand within itself giving the aura of a premier place to train. So things like tried branding and merchandise was always in the back of our mind.
TEAM LOGO DESIGNS
The teams is where we really got to flex out muscles though. Much like the rink, this was tiered even though they would share the same name. We liked how it also fit into a military vibe, so we connected it with the historical military history of Delaware. The young tier would focus on George Washington, while the Upper tier would focus on a Revolutionary soldier.
The uniforms were pulled straight out of the history books. We wanted to make a jersey that actually mirrored off of a history correct colonial uniform. The secondary logo really comes in to play as it mimics actual rank patch with the state motto emblazoned in it.
